Dear President Mangelsdorf:

For more than a year, following the brutal October 7th attack on Israel, American campuses have witnessed skyrocketing antisemitism – ranging from genocidal rhetoric to assault. It is incumbent on university administrators to ensure campuses are safe for all its students, faculty, and staff.

As you are aware, the University of Rochester was recently plastered with hundreds of “wanted” posters accusing Jewish faculty members of “racism” and supporting “ethnic cleansing.” Such bigotry cannot be tolerated on our campus. We applaud your decision to strongly denounce the incident and acknowledge its seriousness.

We now call on you to take decisive action to ensure that the University of Rochester offers a safe and welcoming for its Jewish students and faculty by immediately expelling any students involved in creating or distributing the posters.

Sincerely,

[Your Name & Affiliation]
