Stands Against Antisemitism

Nine UC Berkeley Law School student law groups banned speakers who support Israel and Zionism.

Under this standard, even the School of Law's Dean Chemerinsky, a progressive Zionist, and the vast majority of Jewish students would be banned from speaking as well. It is time activists fight back against this concerted effort so that UC Berkeley Law’s Jewish faculty, students, and speakers are able to participate safely in the campus conversation.

The student law groups that have amended their bylaws to exclude Jewish students represent a significant percentage of the student body. These groups include Women of Berkeley Law, Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, Middle Eastern and North African Law Students Association, Law Students of African Descent and the Queer Caucus.

President Michael V. Drake has the power to stop this hatred and protect Jewish faculty and students. He must take immediate action to stop this ban on Jews and the pro-Zionist movement.

Make your voice heard TODAY: sign our petition DEMANDING that President Drake follow the example of other administrators by standing up against this horrible act of antisemitism.
