Dear Chancellor Martin:

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for your decisive action in putting an end to the recent antisemitic encampment on campus and for your strong statement on April 29. Your statement and actions make clear that Wash U will continue to embrace diverse perspectives from individuals of all identities and backgrounds but will not tolerate those who violate university policies. This sends an unequivocal message that discrimination and hate have no place on Wash U’s campus and that institutional rules will be enforced.

Chancellor Martin, your leadership has been exemplary in addressing threatening behavior and ensuring that antisemitism is never allowed or fostered by professors or peers at Wash U. Your firm stance against such hateful actions and your commitment to enforcing the university’s policies are commendable and greatly appreciated.

Thank you for ensuring Wash U remains an institution dedicated to education and research and a safe and inclusive campus for all community members, including Jewish, Israeli, and pro-Israel students. Your efforts truly make a difference in creating a safer and more welcoming campus for all students.

Sincerely,

[Your name and Affilitation]
