ACF Commends Duke University for Freezing SJP Chapter Status Following Antisemitic Post

Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) commends Duke University for taking action after its chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) published an antisemitic Instagram post depicting Zionists as pigs.

In response, the university froze the group’s recognized status and funding. The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) is currently conducting an initial assessment of the incident, though a formal investigation and disciplinary process have not yet been initiated. In the interim, Student Affairs has imposed restrictions on the group due to concerns about student welfare and prior interactions.

ACF views these interim measures as an important step in addressing antisemitic conduct and reinforcing campus standards. Universities must act promptly when rhetoric crosses into harmful or discriminatory territory, particularly when it impacts the safety and well-being of students.

About ACF: Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) leverages the unique power of alumni to combat antisemitism on college campuses. ACF helps organize and cultivate alumni chapters for colleges and universities across the country, equipping members with tools, tactics, and training to proactively engage with administrators.
