ACF Commends Towson University for Investigating Violent Disruption of Campus Speaker Event

Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) commends Towson University for launching an investigation into the violent disruption of a campus event featuring an Israel Defense Forces reservist on a speaking tour.

According to reports and video footage of the incident, a student repeatedly shouted at the speaker, threw objects, damaged property, and behaved aggressively toward attendees. University staff and security were reportedly forced to intervene to protect those present and restore order.

Towson University condemned the conduct as a serious violation of the Student Code of Conduct and confirmed that the matter is under investigation. The university noted that potential disciplinary consequences could include suspension or expulsion.

ACF views this response as an important step in reinforcing that violence, intimidation, and property destruction have no place on campus and encourages continued accountability and consistent enforcement of campus policies.
