After hearing of Princeton University students' rejection of a boycott, divestment, and sanctions referendum, Alums for Campus Fairness Executive Director Avi D. Gordon released the following statement:

I applaud Princeton University students’ rejection of a boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) referendum during this week's student body elections. This referendum could have done serious damage to Princeton's Jewish community and placed Jewish and pro-Israel students directly at risk amid a rising tide of antisemitism.

The core objectives of this resolution could not be more reckless and misguided. By taking a stand for Jewish students and rejecting BDS, Princetonians have done the right thing by reaffirming their commitment to protecting their Jewish peers. I would also like to thank the hundreds of alumni who took a stand for Jewish students by signing ACF's petition against this referendum.

We will continue to swiftly assess and monitor the ongoing situation at Princeton University. We invite Princeton alumni to join us in taking a stand against antisemitism on college campuses.
