ACF Monitoring Criminal Investigation Following GW Israel Fest Incident

Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) is closely monitoring an alarming incident at George Washington University, where individuals reportedly dropped vials containing an unknown substance near attendees of GW’s Israel Fest, in an apparent attempt to disrupt the event.

At least one student was reportedly injured during the incident. Hosted by GW for Israel, the annual event celebrates Israeli culture and community on campus.

The university condemned the incident as “a reprehensible and criminal action” and stated that its investigation will examine whether individuals were targeted based on their Jewish faith. GW also confirmed that it is working with law enforcement to identify those responsible and “hold any perpetrators who are identified accountable to the fullest extent under university policies and applicable law.”

ACF views this incident as deeply disturbing and emphasizes that students attending cultural and religious events must be able to gather safely without fear of intimidation, harassment, or physical harm.
