On Tuesday, April 2nd, Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) learned that Jewish students woke up to eviction notices plastered on their doors.

According to a Jewish student source who openly shared the troubling photo, Jewish students were clearly targeted by identifying which doorposts had mezuzot mounted on them. We can not and will not tolerate direct targeting and explicit discrimination of Jewish students on campus.

ACF condemns the posting of these eviction notices and any antisemitic incidents at Emory University in the strongest possible terms. According to FBI hate crimes statistics, more than half of all hate crimes with a religious bias are directed at Jews. We call on Emory University to act swiftly to protect Jewish students and ensure that targeted discrimination of the Jewish community will not be tolerated.

ACF will continue to be actively engaged in taking action in response to this incident. We call on the Emory University administration to show their support for the Jewish community on campus and join us in working tirelessly to eradicate antisemitism from campus.
