On Monday, May 6th, Alums for Campus Fairness at the University of Wisconsin- Madison (ACF-UW Madison) learned that a white supremacist holding a swastika sign threatened and intimidated students at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee (UW Milwaukee) during an Artists 4 israel event co-sponsored by Maccabee Task Force and StandWithUs.

ACF-UW Madison condemns this blatant show of antisemitism at UW Milwaukee in the strongest possible terms. According to FBI hate crimes statistics, more than half of all hate crimes with a religious bias are directed at Jews. We call on UW Milwaukee to act swiftly to protect Jewish students and ensure that targeted discrimination of the Jewish community will not be tolerated.

ACF-UW Madison will continue to be actively engaged in taking action in response to this developing situation. We call on the UW Milwaukee administration to show their support for the Jewish community on campus and join the community in working tirelessly to eradicate antisemitism from campus.
