ACF Welcomes Ambassador Lipstadt’s New Institute for Countering Antisemitism at Emory

Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) applauds the launch of the Emory Policy Institute on Countering Antisemitism (EPICA), a new initiative founded by Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, the renowned Holocaust historian, longtime Emory professor, and former U.S. special envoy to monitor and combat antisemitism (2022-2025).

EPICA will support interdisciplinary research, public programming, student fellowships and internships, and opportunities to engage directly with policymakers and other leaders — pairing serious scholarship with public engagement to confront this threat and its impact on democratic societies.

As Ambassador Lipstadt has said of the work, "The fight against antisemitism is not solely a fight of one minority group against prejudice. It's a fight for democracy."

ACF recognizes Ambassador Lipstadt and Emory’s commitment to this work and looks forward to the impact EPICA will have on students, scholarship, and the broader fight on campus.
