Alums for Campus Fairness Applauds Cornell's Kehlani Disinvitation

Alums for Campus Fairness expressed our appreciation to Cornell University President Michael Kotlikoff for rescinding Kehlani's invitation to perform at this year's Slope Day. We understand that this was not an easy decision, but it was necessary.

The history of anti-Israel and antisemitic rhetoric associated with Kehlani has caused significant distress among students, alumni, and the broader community. By acknowledging the impact of this rhetoric and taking the necessary steps to address it, the Cornell administration has demonstrated a commitment to ensuring that all members of the campus community feel safe, respected, and valued.

We thank the administration for listening to the concerns of the Jewish and pro-Israel community and for taking action to uphold Cornell's ideals of inclusivity and respect. This decision marks an important step toward fostering an environment where every student can thrive without fear of discrimination or hostility.
