Alums for Campus Fairness Calls on Michael Schill to Resign or Board Termination
Failure to protect Jewish students, sham antisemitism committee & “deal” with protestors who took campground hostage enables antisemitism on campus
Northwestern students to DC to plead for help

Alums for Campus Fairness today is calling on Northwestern University President Michael Schill to resign or for the Board of Trustees to terminate Schill for failure to protect Jewish and Israeli students on campus and enabling a culture of antisemitism.

“From refusing to define antisemitism, to his sham ‘antisemitism committee’ to his most recent deal to allow antisemitic harassers to remain on campus, it is clear Michael Schill is openly enabling a culture of antisemitism on campus and needs to resign,” said Avi D. Gordon, Executive Director of Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF). “We do not take this extraordinary step lightly. This is only the second time in our history that ACF has called for a college president’s resignation, after we did so at the University of Pennsylvania. If Schill does not voluntarily follow the path of Liz Magill, the Board of Trustees must step in and restore sanity and trust on campus.”

ACF’s call for Schill’s termination comes as at least 15 Northwestern Jewish students head to Washington, D.C. to plead with federal lawmakers to step in and force higher education to define antisemitism, to share their stories of harassment, and explain how Schill refuses to assist Jewish students as they are being taunted with threats.

“Alums for Campus Fairness has spent months raising the alarm about worsening conditions for Jewish and Israeli students at Northwestern. In response, Schill has dug in his heels, turning a blind eye and enabling the very antisemitic behavior he claims to oppose,” added Gordon.
