Alums for Campus Fairness Commends NYU for Condemning the People’s Solidarity Coalition’s Endorsement of Armed Struggle

Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) commends New York University (NYU) for its strong stance against the recent posting by the group calling itself the “People’s Solidarity Coalition,” formerly the “Palestine Solidarity Committee.” The group’s deplorable endorsement of “armed struggle” as a valid tactic on campus is deeply troubling.

ACF-NYU supports NYU’s zero-tolerance policy for violence and urges the administration to follow through with its warnings to involve law enforcement and the university disciplinary processes whenever this policy is violated.

“Universities must be safe havens for learning and debate, not battlegrounds for violence and hate. We commend NYU’s leadership for ensuring the safety and security of all students and upholding the principles of a peaceful and respectful academic environment,” said Avi D. Gordon, Executive Director of ACF.
