Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) strongly condemns the Illinois Student Government at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) for passing a Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) resolution.

With a final vote tally of 22 in favor, 11 against, and 7 abstentions, the passage of this discriminatory resolution is indicative of a disturbing trend of antisemitism at UIUC. Universities should be pillars of truth, academic freedom, and open discourse, and when these values are compromised for any group, including Jewish and Zionist students, university administrators must respond appropriately.

We support Illlini Hillel, as the face for Jewish student life on campus, and we lend our support to them in enriching the lives of Jewish students. You can read their full statement here.
