Over the weekend, three Jewish students were physically assaulted at a fraternity party at Indiana University. It is reported they were attacked by eleven fraternity men and subjected to antisemitic slurs.

There should be absolutely zero tolerance for this behavior. All students should feel safe on campus and be regarded with respect by their peers. This basic expectation shouldn’t be compromised for anyone, including Jewish students.

Pi Kappa Phi fraternity has been placed on Cease and Desist until the case is resolved. As the police and university investigate this incident, we will remain vigilant on the university’s promise that it “will hold individuals and organizations accountable.” We stand with the three students who were targeted. There is no place for hate on campus.
