Alums for Campus Fairness applauds Congressman Josh Gottheimer for his letter addressed to Rutgers’s University President, Jonathan Holloway.

Representative Gottheimer’s letter is a response to a recently released statement, signed by members of the Executive Board of the Part-Time Lecturer Chapter of Rutgers AAUP-AFT, which disparages, delegitimizes, and demonizes Israel. Laced with antisemitic rhetoric, the statement not only contributes to an environment of antisemitism on campus, but also actively promotes it.

ACF applauds Congressman Gottheimer’s principled stance against the spread of such discriminatory and misleading information. Furthermore, ACF commends Gottheimer’s leadership in recognizing the potential harm and anguish Jewish and Pro-Israel students and faculty might face as a result of the biased statement.

ACF firmly echoes Congressman Gottheimer’s sentiments and in support we encourage President Holloway to use this opportunity to take remedial measures in a swift and unambiguous fashion.
