On Wednesday night, July 15th, the Florida State University Student Senate passed a resolution recognizing the IHRA definition of antisemitism and signaling support for the increased representation of Jewish students in the Student Senate.
In rejecting hate and division, the Student Senate passed the resolution with a vote of 26 in favor, 14 against, and 0 abstentions. With this vote, Student Senate has ensured that all student voices, including those of Jewish and Pro-Israel students, would be heard.
ACF-Florida State, representing nearly 750 alumni, applauds the passing of this resolution. We will remain unified in combating all forms of antisemitism on campus. We call on the greater Florida State community to stand with Jewish students and their allies on campus.
