Alums for Campus Fairness at Florida State University (ACF-Florida State) applauds student leaders for defeating hateful and misleading resolutions at Florida State University (FSU).

In rejecting hate and division, the Student Senate voted unanimously against a BDS resolution and to remove all anti-IHRA language from another resolution. One of the anti-IHRA resolutions failed with a vote of 0-7-3. With these votes, Student Senate has ensured that all student voices, including those of Jewish and Pro-Israel students, would be heard.

ACF-Florida State recognizes that these resolutions, as part of the larger BDS movement, not only contribute to an environment of antisemitism, but actively promote antisemitism through the demonization and delegitimization of Israel, the nation state of the Jewish people. Part of ensuring student success requires a commitment to protecting all campus communities from hate and isolation, including the Jewish and pro-Israel community. We will continue to stand by our campus as a marketplace of ideas where antisemitism shall never be accepted.

ACF-Florida State will continue our work to counter antisemitism and ensure safe and open dialogue for all at FSU.
