ACF: Fox guarding the henhouse
Comes as Dept. of Education launches Title VI investigation

Alums for Campus Fairness (ACF) today called out Michael Schill for installing radical activists who block recognition of antisemitism on his “Advisory Committee on Preventing Antisemitism and Hate.”

“This is like installing a fox to guard the henhouse,” said ACF Executive Director Avi D. Gordon. “It’s obvious Northwestern is not serious about protecting Jewish students.”

One such member Schill appointed is Jessica Winegar, a self-described activist and leader in the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. Other members signed a letter rejecting condemnations of antisemitism.

ACF last month launched a six-figure digital and TV ad campaign calling on Schill to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism and hold students and faculty accountable for violations of Northwestern Community Standards.

The latest news out of Northwestern comes as the U.S. Department of Education launches a Title VI investigation for “discrimination involving shared ancestry.”
